#4 - Why Doesn’t God Just Obliterate the Devil?
The True Legal Reality of the Eternal Timeline
In my last blog, I pulled back the veil on the sheer scale of our future home: the New Jerusalem aka Heaven. We looked at Revelation 21:15-16, where an angel uses a golden rod to measure a massive, 1,500-mile physical cube that towers straight out of the earth's atmosphere into space. I discussed how this city acts as a sovereign, secure vault designed to encapsulate humanity and insulate us from a timeline corrupted by decay.
But this architecture leaves many thinking minds—especially my friends from Catholic, Muslim, and Sikh backgrounds—with a massive, burning question:
“If God is an all-powerful, limitless, and loving Creator who owns the entire cosmos, why does He need boundaries? Why doesn’t He just snap His fingers, obliterate the devil, erase the wicked, and make the whole universe perfect again?”
The answer reveals the most misunderstood legal mechanism in the spirit realm. To understand why your choices on Earth carry such absolute weight, you must understand a cosmic rule of spiritual physics: The Law of Non-Obliteration.
The Permanent Spoken Word: God Never Erases Creation
As we established in our study of the Book of Job, the spiritual realm is not a chaotic, lawless void; it is a highly structured constitutional system. The Supreme Judge (God Himself) operates strictly by the integrity of His own spoken decrees.
When God breathes life into a creation—whether it is a star in a distant galaxy, a majestic angel like Lucifer (Satan), or a human spirit engineered in His own image—that creation is legally permanent. A truly good, just, and perfect God does not throw cosmic tantrums. He does not build something, watch it break, and then angrily erase it from existence to cover up the mess. If God obliterated a creation simply because it rebelled, it would mean the enemy successfully forced the Creator to violate His own word. It would mean the Supreme Court of Heaven was forced to undo its own work.
Therefore, nothing in the universe is ever annihilated.
The physical planets, the galaxies, the angels who stood their ground, and even the one-third of the angels who chose treason—they will all exist forever.
So, what does a righteous Judge do with treason if He cannot legally erase the traitor? He does not destroy them; He reassigns them to a permanent, maximum-security jurisdiction.
The Architecture of the Lake of Fire: The Corporate Quarantine
You are bringing the hammer down with absolute scriptural reality. This is the missing judicial key to the Lake of Fire: The Law of Absolute Reciprocity—better known in the courtroom as Lex Talionis, or "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth" (Exodus 21:24). Many people mistakenly believe that because Jesus paid for sin on the cross, the rule of "an eye for an eye" was permanently abolished. But in the legal physics of the Kingdom, the law of reciprocity was never canceled; it was simply transferred. If you are covered by the blood of Jesus, the brutal weight of an eye for an eye was transferred to His body on the cross. He took the legal lash for you. But if a person rejects Jesus, they choose to act as their own legal representation. Most traditional systems use fear-mongering clichés to describe Hell as an emotional, chaotic torture chamber where a red devil runs around with a pitchfork. But according to the actual legal parameters of Scripture,
Hell is a highly calculated, precise execution of cosmic justice.
The Bible explicitly records that the Lake of Fire was never originally designed for human beings. Matthew 25:41 states that it was prepared specifically "for the devil and his angels." It is a constitutional prison built to lock away the rebel spirits of the Second Heaven so they can never again leak out, whisper deception, or contaminate the rest of God's pristine, looping cosmos.
But for the human or fallen angel who ends up there because they rejected the legal covering of Jesus, they are forced to face the raw, unshielded reality of the Old Testament courtroom standard: An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth (Exodus 21:24). This is the Law of Absolute Reciprocity.
In the spiritual realm, what you sow is exactly what you reap (Galatians 6:7).

The Sower of Perversion: A person who spent their life sleeping around, exploiting others, or living like a modern occult predator without repentance, in the name of Jesus, will bear the exact weight of those decisions. In the raw territory of Hell, they will find themselves utterly powerless, trapped in a dimension of unmitigated perversion where they are systematically violated and tortured by the very demonic entities they served on Earth.
The Sower of Violence: Someone who tortured, abused, or broke others to pieces will find themselves in a jurisdiction where they are the ones being legally broken, hunted, and tortured with zero end, zero boundaries, and zero restraint.
Every single sin that grieved God's heart and separated you from Him on Earth becomes a living, executing verdict against your spirit. What you did to others under the influence of the enemy is precisely what the enemy is legally authorized to execute back onto you for eternity. The Spatial Mechanics: Where is Hell Located?
For the logical thinker, a natural question arises: “How is it physically possible for a realm like Hell to fit inside our universe? Does the spirit realm actually take up physical space?” The answer is an absolute yes.
The spirit realm is not an abstract myth; it is a higher-dimensional system of physics layered directly over our natural coordinates.
Think of it like Wi-Fi signals and cellular data: hundreds of invisible frequencies occupy the exact same room you are sitting in right now without ever clashing, simply because they operate on different dimensional wavelengths.
According to the strict legal geography of Scripture, the present holding jail of Hell (Hades) is located directly in the center of the Earth.
The Bible explicitly states that when Jesus died, He descended into "the lower parts of the earth" (Ephesians 4:9) and spent three days in "the heart of the earth" (Matthew 12:40). In the Old Testament, when the earth opened its mouth to swallow the rebels of Korah, they descended alive straight into the pit (Numbers 16:31-33). No matter where you stand on this globe, if you descend completely, you hit the exact same structural epicenter.
This internal placement explains one of the greatest mysteries of spiritual warfare: the terrifying power of Marine Spirits and Satan’s absolute obsession with the oceans.
Hell is locked in the dense core of the planet, heavily padded and enveloped by billions of gigatons of deep subterranean waters and vast oceans.
Because Adam legally signed humanity's earth-lease over to Satan, the enemy has spent centuries using this oceanic padding as a localized fortress.
This is why Scripture identifies the ultimate demonic power structures as rulers of the sea—like Leviathan (Isaiah 27:1) or the multi-headed beast rising out of the ocean in Revelation 13:1. The deep waters act as a spiritual conducting layer sitting directly on top of the prison gates.
The Final Sentence: Jail vs. Permanent Prison
To understand the full severity of this system, we must look at the legal transition between what the Bible calls Hell (Hades) and The Lake of Fire (Gehenna).
Right now, Hell operates like a temporary holding jail inside the Earth, awaiting final sentencing. Because Hell is currently located inside the physical borders of Earth, the demons maintain a localized, terrifying playground where they can execute torment on those who enter without a legal shield.

What you did to others under the influence of the enemy is precisely what the enemy is legally authorized to execute back onto you for eternity.
But the Lake of Fire—which occurs after the Great White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:14)—is the permanent maximum-security prison. When Jesus returns, collapses the linear timeline, and unrolls the New Jerusalem, the entire old planetary structure will be completely overhauled. Hell itself will be uprooted and cast into its permanent, outer-cosmic lockup.
In this final jurisdiction, the hierarchy is completely destroyed.
The demons are stripped of their power to torture. They are no longer the prison guards; they become the inmates.
Revelation 20:10 explicitly declares that the devil and his fallen angels will be cast into this lake of brimstone to be "tormented day and night forever and ever." They will bear the absolute, unshielded weight of their own cosmic treason, crushed by the very system of rebellion they tried to build.

The Extreme Legal Weight of Human Free Will
This is where the sovereign law of human choice comes into play, and it is a sobering warning to anyone playing games with their spiritual alignment.
Out of all creation, humans are the only beings engineered in the literal image and likeness of YAHWEH.
Because you carry His likeness, you possess an uncrackable legal right called free will. God respects your jurisdiction so highly that He will never force you to love Him, and He will never drag you into His presence against your will.
If a human spends their life actively rejecting God, agreeing with the bad fruit of the enemy, and refusing the legal proxy of the blood of Jesus, they are making an active courtroom decision. They are telling the Judge, “I do not want Your nature, I do not want Your laws, and I do not want Your presence.”
At the final Great White Throne Judgment, the Judge simply grants that request. He says, "You did not want My presence on Earth, so I am granting you a permanent assignment to the only jurisdiction in existence where My presence does not exist."
If you choose (knowingly or unknowingly)to align your spirit with the rebellion of Satan, you legally bind yourself to his sentencing.
When the devil is escorted into the maximum-security quarantine at the end of the age, everyone who carries his legal DNA is swept into that exact same lockdown.
The Perfection of the Synchronous Loop
The ultimate comfort for those who are walking with the Lord is that once this final jurisdictional assignment is executed, the security of the universe is permanent.
As we read in Revelation 21, the 1,500-mile New Jerusalem cube descends, the old linear timeline of decay is dissolved, and Time is restored back to its original Synchronous Loop—an eternal cycle of life, expansion, and perfect harmony where past, present, and future exist in an endless rhythm of peace.
Because the Lake of Fire is completely sealed under an uncrackable legal judgment, the enemy can never leak back out. Perversion, cancer, anxiety, pride, and death will be locked away in a permanent container, completely removed from our reality forever.
Your choices on this Earth are not temporary behavioral experiments.
They are high-level courtroom maneuvers that determine your eternal jurisdiction. You cannot force your way into having God's spiritual DNA through good behavior, religious rituals, or sheer willpower. Human effort can modify your behavior, but it can never give you a brand-new nature. The debt has already been litigated and paid in full by the only Source (God Himself) with infinite equity.
Receiving Jesus Christ is a legal exchange of identity. You hand Him your broken record, your family's iniquities, and your internal stress, and He hands you His uncreated divine nature, His permanent security clearance, and your true position in the Third Heaven.

"Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ. I know that I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead so I could have eternal life. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my life to receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for saving me, washing me clean, and making me a new person. Wash my perimeters, shut the door to the enemy, and seal my spirit in the Third Heaven. I belong to You. In Jesus' name, Amen."
